As we move in to another beautiful season of 2012, I’m continually reflecting on the year and realizing how blessed I am. And oh, I’ve been blessed. Incredibly blessed by my family, my amazing clients, my supportive and loving friends, my life in general … and I couldn’t be more thankful for it all. We are given this life to do what we love, and I’ve truly found something I love, and I hope I am able to share this love with you all. I continue to meet and work with awesome people who share their families and stories with me. blessed. I find myself busier and busier as each month passes. blessed. I am passionate about not only photography, but life, and watching the little changes and perfect things my family offer me every day. blessed. I’ve ventured in to another love, design, by starting a small design business. blessed. I’m reminded each day about the wonderful, caring and kind friends and family I have in my life… BLESSED.
With all of these blessings have come challenges. I find myself with less time for my family and to appreciate the small things in life. I live to please others. I’ve lost time for reading, vacationing, and can’t be the perfectionist I strive to be. It’s good, but it’s hard. I’ve struggled with how to make this love and business work best for me, and ultimately my clients. So… change. Hard, but inevitable, and hopefully the changes coming for 2013 are only for the better. With only a handful of sessions remaining this year before my much anticipated holiday break and time with my family, I am working on the background things that make Tami Fosher Photography roll. So, before the year has gotten away from me, I’d love to share what I’m working on…
- The website is getting a new look. It’s in the works now. And when it’s finished, it will be more interactive and fun! I hope you like what you see so far, and if there is any information you would like to see on here that is not now, please don’t hesitate sending me an email at all! I’ll be updating this blog with recent work, so check back often.
- My awesome, KICK butt assistant and design partner, Kinley Nichols, will continue to be a familiar face at many sessions. She’s awesome. I love her… and I couldn’t do it without her.
- I’ve lost all emails! I’ve tried to recover what I can, but I would really really love for you to send me an email so I can be sure you are on my list to email any changes, specials and updates as they occur! Pretty please?!?!?! – tami@tamifosherphotography.com
- My branding and packaging are being slightly revised and new things are being ordered for 2013.
- Clients – I will again, have an end of the year contest, so be sure to keep watching for my post in December for your chance to win!
- As hard as this is, 2013 is filling up fast. People are booking early, and this is AWESOME. I’ve found my “magic” number of sessions each month and unfortunately this means fewer clients in 2013, but more time for my family while my kids are young. Please, please, please… book early! I don’t like saying no, but I have to be true to myself and family.
- And finally, after much collaboration and input from past clients, my pricing will indeed change. This has been the hardest, yet most noteworthy change. I really believe this will be the most beneficial for most clients. Prints and Products will NOT increase for 2012. Session fees, however, have been restructured. Based on feedback, I will now have 2 options available, standard and digital sessions, allowing clients to get their digital negatives with both packages. While my session fee up front has increased, the end investment should remain the same, or be lower for most clients. The new structure allows me to manage my proofing galleries and limit my overhead in this regard, as well as allow me to better focus on each client individually. I LOVE you all, and I hope this does not “scare” you away. It’s really not more of an investment overall, just more up front. Please check out all of these changes here: INVESTMENT
